Abstract Show
About
The term abstract is broad and multifaceted encompassing both the abstraction of representation and the essence of non-representational art itself. This exhibit showcased both. The art league makes an effort to include all artists those who produce representational as well as those who produce non-representational.
Judge’s Statement
It was a privilege and an honor to serve as the juror for the 2025 Abstract Show. This exhibit showcased an incredible range of interpretations, at times merging these qualities in truly captivating ways. From the abstraction of winter, the playfulness of frogs, and the solitude converted by a single gold orb, each artist brought a unique perspective to the theme and expressed something deeply meaningful through the universal language of art.
In addition to the diverse artistic styles represented, it was equally impressive to witness the variety of media on display, including glass, photography, painting, digital manipulation and assemblage. —
