The Findlay Art League is a non-profit (501(c)3) volunteer driven organization whose primary focus is advancing the visual arts in Findlay and the surrounding area. We are sustained by memberships, donations , grants, classes, show entry fees and sale of artwork. Your donation enables the organization to provide for children and adult classes, quality shows and exhibits( 12 per year). A beautiful gallery and studio provides a space where artists and art enthusiasts can gather and connect.

By Providing substantial awards our shows will attract a more competitive artistic audience. A community’s health can be judged by how successful the arts are. Investing in art is at every stage of life and across every spectrum. When a city, a business or an individual has made significant investment in the arts and they are thriving, it’s often a sure sign that the rest of the community or business is doing well. Let’s do this!
Phil Gerstner Award for Craftsmanship
Phil was a long-time member of Findlay Art League. Serving as President, Treasurer and all around volunteer. As a watercolorist, he received numerous awards and had paintings in various foreign countries. Later, he began making sterling silver jewelry and derived hours of pleasure from making original castings. The next art style involved creating "fun people" from various antique pieces. Many of those were sold at the Toledo Museum of Art. He next began abstract painting on wood as well as using abstract painting to make cards and sending over 100 Christmas and Valentine cards each year. He will be dearly missed. Please consider donating toward the “Craftsmanship Award” to be given out during our signature Fall Show.
