Fall Show
About
The Fall Show is an annual show that welcomes all different types of art. Artists from North West Ohio showcase their work in this show. Our Judge this year: JUROR’S Bio-Christopher Pickett is an artist from Toledo, Ohio. He graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Toledo and a Master of Fine Arts in 2-D Studies from Bowling Green State University. He works as both a freelance artist and an instructor for clients of all ages from across various mediums. His practice centers around understanding and articulating the generational impact of the racial tensions between Black and White Americans and how that has impacted him and his bi-racial identity.
Judge’s Statement
The caliber and variety of the work being displayed in this show serve as a refreshing reminder of what inspired me to become an artist in the first place. Seeing artwork executed at such a high level spurs the innate competitor in me and drives me to push my own work beyond what I thought it could be. The venue allows each piece to be displayed in a way that acknowledges the intimacy required to fully appreciate the artist’s vision.
Thanks to shows and events like these, we can continue to explore the world around us and bring others along for the journey.
